All too often, a celebrity gets it into their head that now they've reach some margin of fame via a movie or sports, they can also sing! This usually turns out much worse than when singers try to act.

Hailee Steinfeld | Flashlight | Oscar-nominated for her role as Mattie Ross in "True Grit", Steinfeld broke into music with her song "Flashlight" from "Pitch Perfect 2". She has subsequently released a couple EPs and a handful of singles. Her voice is perfectly serviceable, but look at it this way: they got Jessie J to record the song for the subsequent soundtrack album. - Joe Pearson
Hayden Panettiere | My Hero Is You, I Fly | My Hero is You was to compliment her movie role in Tiger Cruise; I Fly compliments her role as Gen in "Ice Princess". She can sing, but acting is her main focus. - Rocky Mak
Haylie Duff | Our Lips are Sealed, Holiday | As Hilary's older sister, she co-wrote or written a few of Hilary's songs. But she is more successful singer working with Hilary than without in terms of musical endeavours. Besides, she is far less well-known than Hilary, both as actress and singer. Will she ever step out of her sister's shadow? Time will tell. - Rocky Mak
Helena Bonham Carter | Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo | The Harry Potter alumna performed "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo" for the Cinderella soundtrack, although this was only heard during the credits and not in the actual film itself. - Maryellen Larkin
Hilary Duff | Why Not, I Can't Wait, So Yesterday | Her singing is not that great, and overall she hasn't done anything remotely good since "Lizzie McGuire". - betty kaye
Howie Mandel | I Do the Watusi | appears on his 1986 comedy album 'Fits Like A Glove' and was produced by John 'Jellybean' Benitez. The lyrics make absolutely no sense at all, which is what makes it great. - whistledog
Hugh Jackman | Songs from "Oklahoma!" and "The Boy from Oz" | Hugh has appeared in the musical "Oklahoma!" in London, and on Broadway in "The Boy from Oz" which featured the songs of Peter Allen. And yes, he can sing, quite well in fact. He should do an album one of these days. - Chris
Hulk Hogan | Hulkster in Heaven | Professional wrestler Hulk Hogan released a rock and rap record in the mid 90's. He Rocked, He Rapped, He Sang a ballad, He-Larious - Jim |
