- i read an interview with them in the 70's and they said they named themselves after a beatles lyric on Sgt Pepper. I though nothing of it, until i was looking through the lyrics to Lucy in the Sky, and realised they had misunderstood/misheard the lyric 'tangerine trees'; well, they are german. are they the only band to be named after a misheard lyric?
