Always got a kick out of Barney and his one bullet he was allowed to carry in his pocket. The Hokey Pokey was a good song to go with this - what the hell was that song all about?
At least Opey wasn't gropey and the show wasn't dystopey.
I am actually quite a big fan of "The Andy Griffith Show" but only the black & white episodes things just weren't the same without Barney around! I also enjoyed the spin-off "Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C." which has Gomer Pyle serving in the Marines after leaving Mayberry! 5's

Still, what was that show about? Everytime Andy seems to either play a patsy or bail Barney out of self-inflicted trouble. And he's living with Aunt Bee who keeps forcing everyone to eat her cooking or making doggie bags! Gomer fixes things but usually is so reckless that trouble ensues. Ellie liked Andy, but he picks the older school teacher. Barney keeps messing with Thelma Lou. Did any of them get married, remarried? I know Gomer went on to the Marines. Somebody said Barbara Eden was in an episode, but I haven't seen that one yet. Ron Howard as Opie annoys me. The "Oh Pa" routine works better on "Little House on the Prairie" and "The Waltons" if you ask me. Please, Jon or Porfle... make fun of Mayberry!!!

So you were that kid that bullied Opie, Rob!! ... There actually was an episode where a mean kid named Steve Quincy kept teasing Opie by endlessly repeating "Opie, dopey!" and Dopey Opie". Then he starts leading Opie's friends down the path to delinquency till Opie stands up to him, at which point he turns into a big pussy ..... I can still hear in my mind's ear how that kid would say "Opie, Dopey."
