The Lyrics
Election time is near and why not celebrate with a parody or two? I have heard countless versions of this ballad so I decided to use the original construct for this parody. I imagined both the electorate and a candidate vying for the prize offered up every four years. Warning: My sense of humor is grimdark and I don't believe in political correctness. Comments are also welcome!

555 for the parody, but no candidate from either side can deliver on your list of demands. You might as well have added world peace as a goal!!!
The pacing wasn't as far off as the politics, but it was bad enough. Eliminate corporate welfare, THEN you won't have "obscene spending." You want limited government? Move to Somalia. Government doesn't get any more limited than that.
Nicely done. What you seek could be achieved. The kind of people who seek to rule others will not even try. Corporate welfare is another term for warfare. Figure the price of just one cruise missile and what you could buy in terms of public transit, health care or something of lasting value. The cliché that we "need" government, does not, in itself, justify any particular type of government. From what I have seen of Michael Pacholek's writings over the years, I believe he would favor a Swedish style socialism, in which the government provides for the basic needs of most citizens. Swedes put up with the high taxes because they felt they were getting value for their money. While none of us would move to Somalia, Somalis are, indeed, moving to Sweden, bringing with them a culture of violence, rape, and lawlessness. Along with demands for the same sort of social services which the Swedes were accustomed. Problem is, like all socialist experiments, you run out of other people's money. Swedes could walk the streets safely, not because they were surrounded by cops, but because they were inherently law abiding people. No amount of policing can bring order to Somalia, because they only obey such law as there is while someone tougher is pointing a gun at them. In the 1970's, Sweden voted to commit slow national suicide. The drug is beginning to take effect. US politicians are committed to the same policy. I really liked you line about "Mohammed and Pedro".
Michael, even the GOP has a problem with a dynamic Libertarian Minarchist mindset let alone a screaming Liberal with pale red leftist views. Any amount of Government/Regulation past what is needed to Govern/Legislate is counterproductive and pointless. Taxing Capital and Labor is also counterproduc6tive. it drives away capital and there is less need for labor (as in Jobs). High taxes choke growth; look at France. An 82% tax rate sure kills off the incentive to work. Our capital gains tax should be at 0% (to ensure maximum job creation) and the Federal Government needs to be stripped of the powers it has usurped (Education, gay Marriage, Abortion, etc.) As for Somalia, that would be a good place to kick the UN.... along with liberals like yourself that hate this country.
