The Lyrics

CNN BAKING NEWS: A news clip stated that Twinkies will soon be discontinued.
Twinkie, Twinkie, bye bye Star
Soon to be no more, you are
You've been tasty for so long
Discontinued now is wrong
Twinkie, Twinkie, golden soft
You were great for snacking off

Many children you have fed
In lunch boxes painted red
Scrumptious little yellow mounds
Eating you would make no sounds
Twinkie, Twinkie, tongues are sad
Tasted good, but for us bad

In your Hostess cellophane
Calorie mountains teased the brain
No more Twinkies in our face
What can ever take your place?
Twinkie, Twinkie, your life's thru
So is our life..without you

Twinkie, Twinkie, bye bye Star
Soon to be no more, you are

I'm more of a chocolate cupcake girl, but I'll miss Hostess nonetheless. 5/5/5.

I will miss Hostess products (I always got a package of two raspberry/coconut Zingers in my sack lunch every day as a little girl until I was found to have a coconut intolerance, then Mom switched to Twinkies), but I rarely eat them or the competing Little Debbie items anymore. Nowadays it's cellophane-wrapped muffins, a doughnut, a personal coffeecake or a Mexican pastry from the Shell food mart down the street with a cup of coffee every morning, usually while driving to work. Excellent as always, and 5s.

Many other products have survived bankruptcy, and I'm confident Twinkies will. But they may not survive Michelle Obama and Michael Bloomberg. Meanwhile, keep serving us sweet parodies like this one, AFW!

Thanks, Rebekah, yeah..I like those cupcakes, too...but, have you noticed the downsizing? they used to be twice as big...and thanks, Andria..doughnuts are my weakness, too...but, only the bakery fresh ones...and thanks, Barry...yup, somebody's always tryin' to keep us from our sugar..

No problem! I noticed that there are packages of two cupcakes, don't see as many of the boxes... or have they always been that way?
