Parody Song Title:

"No Big Christmas Dinner"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Call me an old man, but we didn't need a five billion dollar government program/bureaucracy to watch what we ate as children. We had concerned parents who were armed with the ultimate weapon...the word "NO"! I am aware that current beliefs instruct parents, in the interest of "self-esteem", never ever to say this word, lest they become parents instead of best buddies. But I digress...this song uses the German tune for a better fit. ;D

No big Christmas dinner, you disgusting slob!
For now what you eat is the government's job.
No dreaming of sugary plums in your bed.
Big Brother's in charge! You'll eat carrots instead!

Five billion in funding will now hit the skids
So parent's don't have to say "NO" to their kids.
Get rid of those sweets in this season of peace
Or else you'll get busted by the food po-lice!

And so, as you're filling your holiday plate,
Be thankful you're governed by our nanny state!
The money that we'll save if you'll just refrain
Will let the First Lady vacation in Spain!

Merry Christmas to All...and back away from the cookies! ;D

A ONE! A ONE! A ONE! Personally, I don't see "one" thing wrong with this parody! 555! ;-)

I agree, JIN! I think Ebenezer needs to go "scrooge" himself! ;D

It appears that the Nanny State Food Police has already voted on your parody. I have a similar theme today, so I suspect the NSFP will find me too. Maybe some of the First Lady's War on Obesity is worthwhile, but setting up bureaucracies is wrong. Well expressed, OMR.

Interestingly, "manger" ("eat" in French) derives from the Latin "manducare" (eat, chew). Chew on these 5s.
