The Lyrics

I wrote this song back around 1990 and also have a recording of it on my Soundclick page. If you go to soundclick and search for Professor Incubus, you will find all of my parody recordings.
Slippery streets, tires slidin’
In the lanes, cars collidin’
A pitiful sight, people panicked with fright
Cause their drivin’ through a blizzard once again

Slower speeds, blood pressure risin’
At this rate, it’s not surprisin’
That we face unafraid, another hour delay
Cause we’re drivin’ through a blizzard once again

Up ahead now I can see a tow truck
The driver’s face you know a smile can be found
He’ll say hundred bucks and we’ll say no luck
‘Cause I’m completely broke no money is around

Later on, we’ll expire
As we change, a flattened tire
For the plans we have made, we might as well throw away
Cause we’re drivin’ through a blizzard once again

Up ahead now I can see a tow truck
The driver’s face you know a smile can be found
He’ll say hundred bucks and we’ll say no luck
‘Cause I’m completely broke no money is around

Later on, we’ll expire
As we change, a flattened tire
For the plans we have made, we might as well throw away
Cause we’re drivin’ through a blizzard once again

For the plans we have made, we might as well throw away
Cause we’re drivin’ through a blizzard once again

For the plans we have made, we might as well throw away
Cause we’re drivin’ through a blizzard
Drivin’ through a blizzard, hey
Drivin’ through a blizzard once again
This song goes through my mind every winter when I see SUVs crashed into guardrails because their owners think "Hey, I have 4 wheel drive! That must mean that I can drive fast!".

Thanks guys! I think of this song every winter and especially now because there are areas around where I live that currently have between 1 to 2 feet of snow. We get lake effect off of Lake Ontario.
