Saturday, 8th November is election night in New Zealand. While it is certain that the parliament makeup and Prime Minister will change, but due to uninspiring Leaders' Debates, I personally don't see if the changes after the results will make much difference. The sense of optimism just isn't there.
Election night
Nervous night
All seems calm
Nothing's right
Helen's reign on top's
Over in hours
[Helen Clark is no longer the Prime Minister, but not because of a maximum terms reached, but she just get voted out]
John Key's changes
Feel old and too mild
Problems, doubts, we foresee
Promises lost in the sea
Election night
Nervous night
Much at stake
Null to fight
Changes few embraces, will discard
Country's direction is: We don't know what
Is our future forlorn?
Kiwis beginning to mourn
Election night
Nervous night
Minor's part
[Minor parties, anything not Labour or National, much like anything not Democrats or Republican in USA.]
When they'll rise?
Their different views
Took some breaths away
Is the leader's debate
A mistake?
Parties are stuck on the verge
When will the breakthrough emerge?
Nervous night
All seems calm
Nothing's right
Helen's reign on top's
Over in hours
[Helen Clark is no longer the Prime Minister, but not because of a maximum terms reached, but she just get voted out]
John Key's changes
Feel old and too mild
Problems, doubts, we foresee
Promises lost in the sea
Election night
Nervous night
Much at stake
Null to fight
Changes few embraces, will discard
Country's direction is: We don't know what
Is our future forlorn?
Kiwis beginning to mourn
Election night
Nervous night

[Minor parties, anything not Labour or National, much like anything not Democrats or Republican in USA.]
When they'll rise?
Their different views
Took some breaths away
Is the leader's debate
A mistake?
Parties are stuck on the verge
When will the breakthrough emerge?
And now, we wait...
