The Lyrics

Sing, (Start in to sing, you’ll have to swing,)
Then, you’ll swing, (Start in to sing, you’ll have to swing,)
That car app is bound to get you,

Oh, (Turn on the heat, then beat your feet,)
Don’t go slow, (Turn on the heat, then beat your feet,)
That car app is bound to get you,

Car app, car app, car app, car app, car app…mmm...

(female vocal)

DriveTime Steps,
Start in to sing, then soon, you’ll be swinging,
DriveTime Steps,
Turn on the heat, your feet will keep beating,

One, two, three,
It’s a new sensation, (dee-de-oh!)
You’ll agree,
It’s the step that’s putting the world on its feet,

DriveTime Steps,
Once you begin, you have to give in to
DriveTime Steps,
Get on your toes, ‘cause everyone knows that

If you’re not a dunce,
Oh, you’ll catch on at once,
Well, simple as ABC,
It’s the DriveTime Steps!

(vocal trio)

DriveTime Steps,
Start in to sing, then soon, you’ll be swinging,
DriveTime Steps,
Turn on the heat, your feet will keep beating,

One, two, three,
It’s a new sensation, (doo-doo-do-doo!)
You’ll agree,
It’s the step that’s putting the world on its feet,

DriveTime Steps,
Once you begin, you have to give in to
DriveTime Steps,
Get on your toes, ‘cause everyone knows that

If you’re not a dunce,
You’ll catch on at once,
Simple as ABC,
It’s the DriveTime Steps, whoa!

DriveTime Steps,
(instrumental call-back)
DriveTime Steps,
(instrumental call-back)

One, two, three,
It’s a new sensation, (doo-doo-do-doo!)
You’ll agree,
It’s the step that’s putting the world on its feet,

DriveTime Steps,
(instrumental call-back)
DriveTime Steps,
(instrumental call-back)

If you’re not a dunce,
You’ll catch on at once,
Simple as ABC,
It’s the DriveTime Steps, whoa!

Simple as the day is long!

If it hasn’t become blatantly obvious, I like inserting myself into places where I’m not wanted. I’m fully aware that I suck at parodies, but I love any attention I can get because no one normal will associate with me. I’m even trying to arrange to be buried between George and Germaine Briant. You know, shoulder to shoulder we rot and we moulder.

I’m curious what five-second-sobriquet you would use if you didn’t have my username to copy/paste from. Then again, anyone who’s had the misfortune of slogging through one of your “comments” would know better than to expect originality, let alone wit. As regards being soil skeleton friends to the Briants, I’ll instead be buried next to Herbie Kay so I can lay next to the person who invented this song. I’ve already suggested (twice) that if you hate “Rhythm Steps” so much you should poop on the grave of the person who performed it, but you lack the courage to honestly answer the question, so I’ll suggest it again: are you willing to travel across the country to $&!7 on the grave of Herbie Kay? Burial site: Sparkman Hillcrest Memorial Park, Dallas, Dallas County, Texas, USA. Think that 20-watt brain of yours can accomplish that?
