| Parody Song Title: | "No Water" |
| Parody Written by: | Airfarcewon |
Four days they faced
Katrina's waste
Without the taste of water, No Water (water)
A hopeless wait
On the interstate
Supplies are late, No Water No Water (water)
Another dawn,
They carry on
For some, hope's gone No Water cool water (water)
The Superdome
More Hell, than home
Mouth's dry with foam, for water, No Water (water)
Fema's not around
Cross out Red Cross, can't be found
Human miseries abound
In a desp'rate dying sound No Water (water)
All wade and see the irony
Of the broken flood levee,
How, they wonder, can this be..where is
The water? No Water (water)
Next day it's come
As busses hum
First relief from No Water cool water (water)
Who must we blame for all this shame
So late it came, the water cool water (water)
Water......water.....water....
Katrina's waste
Without the taste of water, No Water (water)
A hopeless wait
On the interstate
Supplies are late, No Water No Water (water)
Another dawn,
They carry on
For some, hope's gone No Water cool water (water)
The Superdome
More Hell, than home
Mouth's dry with foam, for water, No Water (water)
Fema's not around
Cross out Red Cross, can't be found
Human miseries abound
In a desp'rate dying sound No Water (water)
All wade and see the irony
Of the broken flood levee,
How, they wonder, can this be..where is
The water? No Water (water)
Next day it's come
As busses hum
First relief from No Water cool water (water)
Who must we blame for all this shame
So late it came, the water cool water (water)
Water......water.....water....

Nice way to handle this...dry humor...5's ~ ~ ~
Good until the last verse. It is typical of the shameful, pessimistic, welfare-dependent, paralyzed losers known as "liberals" to be looking for someone to "blame." Intelligent people (e.g., conservatives) look at the present (working to fix what's wrong) and to the future (with optimism). The horrible situation described in the parody (plus the felonies committed there) would never have happened in a city that was 80% Republican instead of 80% Democrat (half of whom were on the dole).
Lurker, Geez, you find fault with this for assessing blame...then you got ahead and blame the people who lived there. That's not a very consistent position, is it? But, hey...you make up for it by being All Heart. the Milk of Human Kindness doth run through your veins. Better hope the next big disaster doesn't strike where you live, or you might end up sifting crap out of sludge-water drying to stay hydrated. AND...just to stress my earlier comment, in my opinion this piece was done very tastefully. The criticism of the FEMA relief effort is/was valid and was made in a low-key manner. Sorry for mucking up your thread, AFW, but I felt something ought to be said.
