The Lyrics
The US Army XM25 Punisher bullpup smart grenade launcher is a development off the HK Smartrifle. It has laser rangefinder programming for warheads and is capable of air bursts. Good for point targets and long range area targets, but not good for CQB and is heavy at 36 lbs with rifle and ammo carried. The launcher itself only carries 5 grenades at a time and forces the soldier's inability to carry the M4A1 and 210 rounds as back up. Combined weight is 51 lbs, weapons only!!! It saw limited use in Afghanistan but lots of complaints. It is due to be fielded in 2017 or will be cancelled.
