The Lyrics

This parody reflects Speer's book “Infiltration” that deals with Himmler's covert separate Industrial Empire which operated outside of the OKH, OKL, OKM. Speer had been locked out as Armaments Minister from all SS weapons programs and only could control some allocation of slave labor for SS underground facilities. Hitler himself was deceived by Himmler who obsessed over every bizarre idea presented by engineers and designers seeking to avoid frontline service! For the record, the SS did back some good weapons: the V-2, Me-262 jet, the Electroboats Types XXI and XXIII, the Opel Maultier mobile rocket launcher, Fl-282 helicopter, all German nerve gases, and highly effective Kristen coal-combustion generators needed in the last years of the Reich. They also helped with synthetic oil production and lubricants as well as the best prefabrication methods on earth. They built the greatest underground facilities and bunkers ever known. But other projects were beyond comprehension. The SS wasted time on N-Material (CIF3) which killed the nerve gas components necessary to make Sarin and Somen (which were WMDs). Time was wasted on the suicide pulse jet Me-328, converting Czech T-38 tanks into mini-tank destroyers, trying to adopt the Czech ZK-383 SMG for German service and the wild ideas footnoted at the bottom!!! Not mentioned due to lack of room are Die Glocke (Bell Device) and various energy weapons...
Himmler was such a fool
A warped mind

Truly believed in Durofol*
Plant rubber dreams**
And fir oil schemes***

Wild schemes not abandoned
The ideas were not sound
Like atmospheric dampening****
Impulse light guidance for missiles ship-bound!!!*****

[AEG Electro-Flak for shoot-downs!!!]******

Himmler was such a fool
A warped mind
Since '39

Designer ruse
Power abused
Bakery “alcohol” fumes???*******
Industrial “Empire” weak
And he didn’t care
‘Bout any rivalry
Hitler was a freak

[Facing defeat]

Albert Speer peeved
Himmler was such a fool
A warped mind
(No limits to insanity)

[Futuristic fantasies]
* Durofol was chemically treated and super-compressed wood that Himmler believed would be as strong as armor. Nope. Even in light vehicles any damage could not be repaired, but would require complete replacement. Failure. W Germany used it postwar for train seats!!!
** Himmler wasted years trying to convince Hitler to use a range of plants for rubber. Research went on night and day. Failure.. although a synthetic rubber was created instead
*** Himmler believed that oil could be produced from Fir Tree roots... which is true, but not on the scale that the Japanese achieved due to different climates and soil plus treatments. In 1945, the Japanese shipped the SS all of their documents on this type of oil. Failure. Too little product to justify programs
**** ELEMAG proposed to create an atmospheric dampening field that would knock out enemy bomber engines and all electronic components in the air. Too far ahead, Failure... although the Germans DID launch unmanned “Foo Fighters” that used an electrostatic weapon to kill bomber engines from Nov 1944-April 1945. Not much success as they were fought off by the waist gunners. Fighter had to close within 300 ft to be effective
***** Although the Hs-293 ASM was a moderate success for the time and even had a model with television guidance in 1945, Himmler wanted a light impulse system created from scratch. Too complicated, not enough time
****** AEG proposed Electro-Flak by charging the atmosphere to the point that enemy bombers would be hit by lightning created artificially through manipulation!!! Himmler saw this as the answer to the enemy bombing campaigns. Failure. Infinitely complex, not achievable with 40s technology
******* This last scheme involved capturing alcohol from bakery fumes which is possible but produces minimal return in exchange for super-complex exhaust modifications and cycling systems. Tested but not employed...
