Song Parodies -> Fiber
| Original Song Title: | "Fever" |
| Original Performer: | Peggy Lee |
| Parody Song Title: | "Fiber" |
| Parody Written by: | Joe Haynes |
I believe that someone on Saturday Night Live did a Peggy Lee parody of this song back in the '80's (Nora McDonald?) with the same title. Can't remember the words, but here are mine...
Farting so much I love it
Farting so much I stink
There is just one reason for it
It's the fiber that's the link
I eating fiber
Then I'm gassy
Fiber in the morning light
Fiber! in the daytime
Fiber all through the night.
I light my farts with matches
The flames light up the night
Singeing all of my butt hair
The only way to do it right
I'm eating fiber
Then I'm gassy
Fiber in the morning light
Fiber! in the daytime
Fiber all through the night
Everybody's got to eat fiber
This is something you all know
Fiber isn't such a new thing
Fiber always makes you go
Romeo and Juliette
Enjoyed a forbidden love
Fiber is the thing that bound them
To the fiber gods above
"Thou giveth fiber"
"When we farteth"
"Flames from my butt will shoot"
"Fiber! My hole's afire"
"Fiber yeah it burns forsooth"
Now you've listened to my story
Here's the point that I have made
Flaming farts come from fiber
Be it Fahrenheit or Centigrade
They come from fiber
When you blast them
Flames light up the sky
Fiber! Till you sizzle
What a lovely way to fry.
Farting so much I stink
There is just one reason for it
It's the fiber that's the link
I eating fiber

Uh, that would have been Nora Dunn, who quit over Andrew Dice Clay being the guest host in 1990, and Sinead O'Connor refused to appear that week as well. She came on a week later. By a weird coincidence, there are only two SNL reruns that NBC refuses to let cable outlets show, and Sinead was a factor in both. And let us have a moment of silence for Little Willie John, the first person to record "Fever" in 1956.
I'm not into toilet humour, but a witty choice of a song, albeit a bit limping pacing. 4-2-4.
