Nicely done, AFW, however one reads it. But "never swearing"? Unless the jarhead whose biography you relate is--was--one particular Army ROTC participant with whom I was briefly and slightly acquainted at UVA in '65--he in fact _was_ a WI farm boy and unhesitant to tout for listeners willing and not his own upbringing as nonpareil--I must never have crossed his path :-)
