The Lyrics

Writing this because the OS shares the same name as the Alcoholics Anonymous handbook, “Twenty-Four Hours a Day”, also called the “Little Black Book”.
In a rusty, dusty meeting room, just the other day,
I joined a therapy group, a group that’s called A.A.,
They offered me a black book, “Read it, and you’ll see,”
“With daily reading in your nook, you’ll turn sober like me!”

Like that quaint old-fashioned meeting group,
With meetings every day,
I read a black book that helps you,
Little black book from A.A.,

Every day, a prayer helps you think,
A daily thought’s there, too,
It helps me avoid a new drink,
A.A. helps; it can help you!

Though we know the Little Black Book’s very old,
It’s still the sweetest story ever told…

Like that quaint old-fashioned meeting group,
With meetings every day,
I read a black book that helps you,
Little black book from A.A.!
