The Lyrics

The greatest site in internet history.
Sing, (Start in to sing, you'll have to swing)
Then, you'll swing, (Start in to sing, you'll have to swing)
Song humor is bound to get you...

Oh, (Turn on the heat, then beat your feet)
Don’t go slow, (Turn on the heat, then beat your feet)
Song humor is bound to get you...

Humor... humor... humor... humor... humor... mmm...

(vocal solo)

AmIRight,
Lyrics misheard, this site is known by it,
AmIRight,
300 Scouts, their shouts, are parodied,

Scouts of three,
Hundred; hormones raging, (dee-de-oh!)
Roxanne, see,
Was the girl that gave all those Scouts fine wet dreams,

AmIRight,
Once you begin, you have to give in to
AmIRight,
Carole, Roxanne, the Briants, they know that

If you’re not a dunce,
Oh, you’ll catch on at once,
Well, read of those Scout’s wet dreams,
You’re on AmIRight!

(vocal trio)

AmIRight,
Lyrics misheard, this site is known by it,
AmIRight,
300 Scouts, their shouts, are parodied,

Scouts of three,
Hundred; hormones raging, (doo-doo-do-doo!)
Roxanne, see,
Was the girl that gave all those Scouts fine wet dreams,

AmIRight,
Once you begin, you have to give in to
AmIRight,
Carole, Roxanne, the Briants, they know that

If you’re not a dunce,
You’ll catch on at once,
Read of those Scout’s wet dreams,
You’re on AmIRight, whoa!

AmIRight,
(Instrumental call-back)
AmIRight,
(Instrumental call-back)

Scouts of three,
Hundred; hormones raging, (doo-doo-do-doo!)
Roxanne, see,
Was the girl that gave all those Scouts fine wet dreams,

AmIRight,
(Instrumental call-back)
AmIRight,
(Instrumental call-back)

If you’re not a dunce,
You’ll catch on at once,
Read of those Scout’s wet dreams,
You’re on AmIRight, whoa!

Simple as the day is long!

So this is what Amiright is going to be known for? Parodies of songs from a band nobody has ever heard of dealing with an incident nobody has ever heard of? Lets hope not
George Leon Briant - May 12, 2023 - Report this comment
That’s exactly right, CML.

I agree wholeheartedly with CML on this. What is the point of referencing the same obscure television broadcast over and over? To try to get any survivors to come forward? Also, the event itself is very suggestive, sexy assistants being near teenage Boy Scouts. (Not to mention that referencing their “wet dreams” is inappropriate.) Also, what the heck does the very last line, “Simple as the day is long!” have to do with anything? These tired parodies should have stopped permanently by Day 2, yet two people continue to spread the message about it to no avail. If any of our users had bothered to stop them we wouldn’t even be discussing this now.
Take Two Records - May 13, 2023 - Report this comment
The point of parodying this subject to death was an attempt to locate a copy of the episode. The very earliest parodies from 2022 clearly pointed out that no known recordings of it were known to exist, contributing to its obscurity. When another user decided to take on the torch, it ended up becoming more absurd than it already was. Since no one attempted to stop it, this topic has become an inside joke on this site. And the last line in this parody, “simple as the day is long”, was in the OS that is being parodied. It’s a genius metaphor for the song/dance’s simplicity (though I admit they could have spent at least 15 more seconds working on that line).

And everyone said my poo parodies were offensive...

If its an inside joke, its between no more than two people. Nobody else thinks this is funny. What's the essence of this joke, anyhow? ... Look, Ive done the least compelling song parody ever, because absolutely nobody recognizes the subject matter or the performer .. Oh check it out, now Ive done it ten times .. and now one hundred times .. Hey, me and this other guy are going for 300 now, what a hoot!

Actually, (in my opinion) they were just annoying.

Maybe they should take on the second greatest moment in broadcast history — when Gary McNamara said “Yee-haw!” while talking about his last day of high school on the “Red Eye Radio” program.
