Ronnie Anne: [suddenly barges in] YOU!
Classmates: Ooooh! [Ronnie Anne slaps Lincoln hard across the face.] Ohhh?
Ronnie Anne: Lincoln Loud, how DARE you kiss me at Jean Juan's French-Mex Buffet! You are rude and gross and totally annoying. I'd rather lick the bathroom floor than kiss you! [she storms off]

So, I perused your two “revised” versions of your “parody” from yesterday, and you changed nothing. Nothing at all. Three syllables in the title phrase, but four when repeated in the lyrics; extra-long substitute for “It’s a new sensation”, and once again the meter and rhyming is completely off. There is no way that “Elementary School Students throughout the town of Royal Woods” would fit the meter of “It’s a new sensation” if this parody was actually sung along with the original song. Sorry, but I have to give you all ones for failing to “revise” your submission and taking my suggestions.
Holy cow, where do I even start? This is a literary ( barely) cripple fight. We’ve got the master of the mundane calling out the only person on the planet who’s more fixated on something stupid than he is. I’ll say this for you, G&GBF, you may beat the same old song into the ground, but at least you change your focus on topics a couple times a year. Bonus points: you’re also correct about meter being vital to a good parody song. Gotta be able to sing along. That said, I never got a response last time, so I’ll ask again: did he ever get your “permission” to use “your” song? This is the second or third violation. Maybe let management know. : )

I made mention of this the other day when Brad the non-poet commented about the lack of anything worthwhile on here. I think he was expecting to find the kind of material that ends up on morning drive radio, but instead we get the stuff these two, and occasionally Hop Sing Blessranger (can't recall the whole name and don't care) submit. As you yourself have stated, there's obviously no managerial oversight so pretty much everything gets through. Wish I could have been here during the board's heyday...
