The Lyrics
A few days ago, we posted a parody called “Illusions of Love”, which is dedicated to victims of human trafficking. However, we realized that the original version featured some specific lines, so we created a revised version that is more generic. Human trafficking should NEVER be tolerated under any circumstances, and we are doing all we can to make sure that these horrific acts are stopped around the world.

Revealed that you could not even try,
Since then, my life’s been helter-skelter,
Illusions of love,
From birth, you hurt me throughout my teens,
A trafficked slave until seventeen,
I robbed a store and burned a shelter,
Illusions of love,
Why did my heart set out to capture,

Why do you want my pride so fractured,
From your lack of standards, and your false lying,
I tell the world all that you would do,
But you refuse to admit it’s true,

This parody is dedicated to Jim Bohannon (1944-2022) on the one-year anniversary of his death. An outspoken critic against human trafficking, he understood our cause and frequently mentioned our work on his nightly radio program.
