WOW! Yesterday (January 31, 2013) was one of THOSE days...one of those truly wonderful days on amiright. All the stars were alignment - honored writers, splendid subjects, skillfully-executed parodies - for laughter, edificaton, and enjoyment. It took me over four hours just to score and comment. Again, congrats to everybody who was involved. As for my chosen version of the original song, it was paydirt once again. I was checking out the full two verse/two chorus lyrics when I went to Youtube. There I found a 1957 clip from "The Adventures Of Ozzie And Harriet" in which this shorter version is sung by David Nelson...not his famous musician brother Ricky but DAVID. To my surprise and delight, their voices are almost as similar as their appearances. Check it out...it's worth the effort. ;D
Oh, what a day - was yesterday
Right here on amiright.

It really was a sight.

All in one day, So I must say

Kudos to TT (sans footnotes), JAB (famous beavers), AFW (doing a song I suggested only the day before), Rob (our minister of armaments), LPG-Unit (Andrews Sisters tribute), Christopher Long (thesaurus parody), brightCAP (devastating Cher's need to use Auto-tune), 2nz (my personal favorite using a very demanding Disney song to tell the Star Wars saga), Andy Primus (Oh "baby"!), UK Warden, BentleyBro, Fack Sabbath...and my two didn't exactly stink either...lol ;D

Thanks for the shout-out. Nice sentiments, but I still wish you had the time and interest to check out the truly great of years gone by -- Johnny D., Stuart McArthur, Kristof Robertson, Red Ant, Royce Miller (R.I.P.), PMS... to name only a few, and no offense intended to the many not mentioned for the sake of space.
