The Lyrics

This OS is pretty much about a "hot one-night stand". My parody is about a relationship that is slightly longer in duration...the one you have with your Thanksgiving Day Turkey...Great OS, by the way...
[instrumental intro]

The turkey that we had for Thanksgiving here last night
Was really great, I sure did stuff my face
It came with yams; candied, and some sweet cornbread
I loudly belched, it woke up the whole place

And then for lunch the next day, oh-oh-oh
I had some more of that stuff again
I took my knife, stripped off the skin
right off a wing

There were some yams; had a pair
And some gravy in there
Oh, yeah
Tasted good with each bite
Leaving's to eat from last night tasted great

[instrumental break]

(So Good!)

(Gravy!)

(More food!)

That dark meat from that turkey's back was now in my lunch
And breast meat; white, it was tasty fare
And turkey wings to gnaw; delicious was each bite
Loved that sandwich that I packed as a spare

(Yeah!)

That turkey lunch was just great, oh-oh-yeah
I ate it all as I munched away
Some of each bite got on my chin
Stuffed it back in

I had more breasts in my sack
and with my knife I attacked
Oh, yeah
Tasted good; ev'ry bite
Eaten on the best of turkey remains
Eatin' on that turkey left for next day
(OH-OH-OH)

[instrumental break]

(Want more!)

(Was good!)

(More food!)

You get well fed, that's for sure
On what's left of a bird
Oh, yeah
Fed real good; belt's now tight
Leaving's I ate from last night tasted great

Tasted good, every bite
Turkey that we had last night still tastes great
Turkey that was from last night I just ate

I'm stuffed full; my belt's tight

Eating the stuff we left for next day

[instrumentals out to end fade]

You made me hungry. Did you eat the whole thing by yourself? ; ) Funny line that made me snicker..."I loudly belched, it woke up the whole place". 5's

Thanks, Pat...hmmm...they'd have to start making really small turkeys for me to eat a whole one...hmmm..."mini-turkeys"...you liked the "belch" line, eh? Well, if someone at your household overeats enough you're likely to hear it "live" and "in person"...lol...

The story builds as the bird disappears. Lovely thanksgiving tale.

scrumptious but I have often wondered in the US don't ya find it boring having turkey again so soon on Xmas day or do you have something else????
Paul Robinson - November 28, 2006 - Report this comment
Martha - Actually, I have eschewed turkey on both occasions the past few years...don't have anything against it, but not enough of immediate family left to deal with it. What's left of us usually get together a few days before and go out for a nice meal somewhere...this year is was Italian...Thanks for stopping in ~ ~ ~
