Song Parodies -> "Five Foot Two"

Original Song Title:

"Blue"

Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Five Foot Two"

Parody Written by:

Old Man Ribber

The Lyrics

These two songs have the exact same chord structure, so in karaoke I sing the original words of Five Foot Two to Blue. This only works in vocal performance, for it involves way too much "ramming the square peg into the round hole". For a written version, the switch must be more exact and offers a challenge. The idea, however, is irrestible. ;D

She's - only five foot two,
Her eyes are very blue.
Has anyone here - seen my gal?
Nose - turned up like her hose,
All dressed in fancy clothers.
Has anyone here - seen my gal?

If you see my girl and she's - wearing fur,
Di'mond rings and nice things - bet your life it's not here!

Could - she love? Could she woo?
Oh - could she coo-chie coo?
Has anyone here - seen my gal?

(Instrumental break to bridge)

For if you see her - dressed in a fur,
Di'mond rings and nice things - you bet it's not here!

Could - she love? Could she woo?
Oh - could she coo-chie coo?
Has anyone here - seen my pal?
Has anyone here - caught sight of my gal?

Not profound, but not an easy shot either! ;D

Since I DKTOS, you could have done *anything* with it, and I'd not know the diff. But Fives for the scholarly exposition in the intro! (We're in a-chord on that issue! :-D)

Ribber, I really loved your mashup/compounded lyric type of parody. Yeah, I myself enjoyed it when I did mine as well, except the lyrics I used was an obscure OS. This satire is worth the height of 5'55".
