The Lyrics

Once a week, I have the incredible pleasure of playing in a team trivia league. It's quite a cool feeling (for a guy who has always been something of a weakling and klutz) to be able to walk into a bar and flatten anybody in the house! I wish some of you could play on our team...we'd be even better! ;D

Tuesday night at my local bar,
Don't play sports but I'm my team's star.
Stroke our chins and our heads we'll scratch -
It's our weekly trivia match.
It's a formal league of a hundred teams or more.
Some play thrice a week to improve their playoff score.

Triv League Tuesday - What Frenchman wrote Clair de Lune"?
Triv League Tuesday - What band did "Dark Side Of The Moon"?
Triv League Tuesday - What brand's the top-selling beer?
Triv League Tuesday - What comp'ny made the Cavalier?

There'll be questions on lots of sports,
T.V., movies, exotic ports,
Science, history, and new slang words,
Current hits - not just for nerds.
For it it not enough - to excel in geography.
To be up to snuff - better know the cast of "Glee"!
Triv League Tuesday - Who was the fifth president?
Triv League Tuesday - What's the third-largest continent?

Who's the best-selling rapper?
In baseball what's a "gapper"?
What is an army "sapper"?

What's guano?
Where's Dwayne Wade play?
What year was the first
Arbor Day?
What now is the name
Of old Siam?
In a computer
What is RAM?

What city will host Twenty-sixteen's Summer Games?
What did Nero do when his city was in flames?

Triv League Tuesday - Who fights the Lord Voldemort?
Triv League Tuesday - What's the length of a tennis court?
Triv league Tuesday - What shade's the first Post-It Note?
Triv League Tuesday - What's the name for a baby goat?

If lots of things you're knowing,
They've prizes for top showing.
Finals - two grand and growing!

(Spoken:) I think we're about ready to answer some questions!

I'm unfamiliar with this site policy on plugs. I'll put the league's website address in comments below so that it can removed easily if I've violated a rule. There are currently eighteen cities that have these trivia leagues. Trust's a fun way to spend two hours a week. ;D

Sounds like a heap a' fun...continued success on your trivial pursuit...I guess trivia consists of old facts about, maybe it should have an "Old-lympics competition

Dave - Take your pick: Skyline or Gold Star. The Purple Bridge was the old auto and L&N Railroad bridge, which is way too narrow for modern cars, so they made it into a pedestrian bridge. Thanks for the kind compliments. ;D
