| Original Performer: | Weird Al Yankovic |
| Parody Song Title: | "George, How He Bungles" |
| Parody Written by: | Rick Cormier |
George, George, George, how he bungles
Wrong as he can be
George, George, George, how he stumbles
Watchdog of the free
George, George, George, how he fumbles
Teleprompter freeze?
George, George, George, how he mumbles
English sentence, please!
When he makes mistakes
In the speeches he makes
He can count on his friends
To splice the tape
Then away he'll get
On a massive old jet
While eloquent analysts interpret for,
George, George, George, how he bungles
Small vocab'lary
George, George, George, how he bungles
Watchdog of the free
George, George, George, how he bungles
English sentence, please!
Wrong as he can be
George, George, George, how he stumbles
Watchdog of the free
George, George, George, how he fumbles
Teleprompter freeze?
George, George, George, how he mumbles
English sentence, please!
When he makes mistakes
In the speeches he makes
He can count on his friends

Great job, Rick, on an OS that doesn't give you much to work with....555
Cute political parody.
I thought this was going to be set on GH IV having over 80% of his parodies erased but it works for Dubya as well. 5's.
bravo...my favorite of the day..this should replace "hail to the chief"
Loved it--especially the verses about his 3rd-grade lexicon.
Kristof, Johnny D, Red Ant, Alvin and John, thanks for your support.
You're probably too young, but I was a big fan of the old Jay Ward cartoons. G.of the J. (and Superchicken) came after Rocky and Bullwinkle, but had the same talent behind. I believe Bill Scott had a hand in writing the original song, as well as guesting on Al's version. Scott, Paul Frees and June Foray did most of the voices, as well as voicing "Fractured Flickers" a few years later. I always cracked up when they'd show a huge crowd of people and you'd hear three voices going "Yay!". Homer Simpson got his middle initial from Jay Ward.
Thanks, Rick D.
If Georgie's "Healthy Forests" initiative reaches completion, no one will ever again have to "watch out for that tree!"
I missed this one a month ago. I absolutely love it!!
