From a true story: I was making macaroni and cheese and kept getting interrupted, and finally yelled something like "I don't need this baloney, I'm burning macaroni!" Next thing I put on the stove was broccoli, and of course the "Choppin' Broccoli" SNL sketch with Dana Carvey came to mind along with Huey Lewis...and I started singing. A good dinner was had by all.
Some dinners turn out better and some dinners make you cry
I'll be cooking here forever, at least until I die.
Kids all complaining, creditors are on the phone
I'm supposed to get this dinner done, you know damn well I won't.
