The Lyrics

To celebrate Christmas, I thought up a song about the 1951 show "Beat the Clock", mentioned several times, most notably by George&GermaineBriantFan, who considers it “the greatest television show”.
It's "Beat the Clock"
There's no need to be afraid
Considered as
The greatest show that's ever made
And the 300 boy scouts had made this show really good
These scouts were a big part of the long-lost show

And there's Roxanne
She's the assistant one
When you watch "Beat the Clock"
You know you're having fun

If you look outside your window
There is no boy scouts here
No George and Germaine Briant
Just squirrels, cats and deers
And the other side of the window
Is just cars that people drive
Well thank god it's on the TV, not outside

And the show that's known as "Beat the Clock" is now long gone
It only aired in 1951 (Oooh)
But I don't have a fear, no elephant is here
Do you know this long-lost show at all?

Bud Collyer
Saw the boy scouts having fun
Lost kinescope
Back in 1951
Do you know this long-lost show at all?

Beat the Clock
Beat the Clock
Beat the Clock
Let's bring back this long-lost show again
Beat the Clock
Let's bring back this long-lost show again
Beat the Clock
Let's bring back this long-lost show again
Beat the Clock
Let's bring back this long-lost show again
Beat the Clock
Let's bring back this long-lost show again
Beat the Clock
Let's bring back this long-lost show again
Beat the Clock
Let's bring back this long-lost show again
Thanks to Duc4AmIRight and George&GermaineBriantFan for helping me know this show!
