Who the heck is Dave Seville?
That is the pen name of Ross Bagdasarian, the creator of The Chipmunks (Alvin, Simon, Theodore), most famed for the Christmas classic "The Chipmunk Song" ("we can't hardly stand the wait, please Christmas don't be late...). "Dave" is the father/mentor of the trio who tries to keep Alvin's behavior in check throughout the song, and in their subsequent 50 year career in other recordings and TV cartoons. Why TSB is so damned obsessed with him, I have no earthly idea. :0
