The Lyrics

Please allow me to introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Won many a man's soul and faith

And I was 'round when Enron fell
Helped my buddy, Mr. Lay
Made damn sure he pleaded innocent
Washed his hands and slipped away

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name
It's election time and it's the
Nature of my game

I stuck around the Middle East
When I thought it was a time to engage
Killed his men and his generals
Then I left Osama with his rage

I sent the tanks
Saw insurgency shrank
When they caught Hussein
In his prison, dank

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name, oh yeah
Ah, Election time
Is the nature of my game, oh yeah
(woo woo, woo woo)

I watched with glee
As the over-seas
Sent their own brigades
To the war I made
(woo woo, woo woo)

I shouted out,
"Free the Iraqis"
But now all that's left
Is just you and me
(who who, who who)

Let me please introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
And I laid traps for dictators
Who get killed before they reached the USA
(woo woo, who who)

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah
(who who)
It's election time and it's the
Nature of my game, oh yeah, get down, baby (who who, who who)

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah
It's RE-election time, and I am
'Bout to with this game
(woo woo, who who)

Just as every death is now minimal
And all their blood is paint
It' just as well,
Just call me President
'Cause I'm the winner, and Kerry ain't
(who who, who who)

So if let me thank you
All the Republicans
All the Democrats, all the rest
(woo woo)
Used all my well-learned politics
Made you all think I was the best, um yeah
(woo woo, woo woo)

Pleased to meet you
Dubya Bush is my name! um yeah
(who who)
I'm re-elected now, so you get
Four more years of the same!
(woo woo, woo woo)

Great one, Syncronos - I see you've been getting a bit political with the rest of us :-) At least I know the original for this one, though.

Whew! Whew! - - This is a SCORCHER, Syncronos. EXTREMELY well done. Perfectly paced and on the mark lyrically throughout. One of the best political parodies I've seen on this site. Truth-telling of the caliber not often seen anywhere. 5's all across here.

Love it. I had thought of doing "Sympathy for the President" but never got around to it. No need to now - you nailed it.

(Artistry) Hard not to laugh at this one Synch. . .but in honesty there wasn't much changed in parts of the song. . .so I do have to take that into consideration for my voting, but good job nonetheless-love the topic.

(Artistry) very clever song and choice of OS Syncronos, but gee it suggests that Dubya has enough brain to be evil, when I think even that is beyond him - that's no criticism of the parody though - 555 from me - and by now there should be less than 555 days until he's gone...
Ethan Mawyer - June 13, 2007 - Report this comment
Criticizing george w is certainly not outdated as long as he still has any power whatsoever, although I agree with dave that it would've been more impressive with more lyrics changed from the original.

Awesome,awesome job!

(Artistry) Portaying Bush as the Devil is nothing new, but you pulled it off very cleverly. Very well done, Syncronos.
