The Lyrics

Pacing is based on how the Temptations actually sing the title lyric which is 'Just my 'magination'
I stare out my window
I watch kids as they play outside
I think to myself
I’m not a healthy guy

I think my mom's disturbed
She's maybe a gal unglued
Out of all the parents in the world
She belongs to me

If I had all my vaccinations
Something I think I need
If had all my vaccinations
Maybe outside I’d be

Seems she’s quite wary
Of shots I think I need
A simple little dose and then I’m home free
But no doctors come to me
She tells me I can’t immunize at all
I wish it was a dream
But to me, it ain’t dream

They know I’ve got no vaccinations
Tell ya, friends
Something is wrong with me
If had all my vaccinations
Maybe they’d play with me

Lots of bumps on my skin each day
Lost count (of) ones I see
I wonder ‘bout my mother, did her senses flee?
Or she is surely high…

These spots are buggin’ me
Maybe shot’ll cure me
I’d like a little vaccine, please
But in reality
Mom’s thinking doesn’t help me

Need my vaccinations
Tell ya, friend
Something to set me free
I tell you, if had all my vaccinations
Happy, this kid would be.

I say it's well past time that the loneliness and sorrows of the un-vaccinated chid be illuminated via the instrumentality of song parody

Excellent.. you gonna follow this up with "(I ain't got no) Vaccinations" to the tune of some old Stones number?
WarrenB - September 17, 2015 - Report this comment
Thank you both. And for Phil:

"And I'm here with my IV
And some doc comes by and tells me
How big those bump could be
Says he can't understand
Why my loving folk
Can keep proven cures from me
I can't get no..."

I might have to take you up on that Phil.

Good one and if the kid is ever allowed to be vaccinated, you could then do "My Vaccination" to the tune of some old Who number.

Must have overlooked this one- 555! More childhood memories. Back in the '70s elementary schools formed outside lines of children to check for lice, ear wax, and to give vaccinations. I still remember mine and the vaccination gun! The teachers gave out lollipops to comfort the crying kids. Parents were all for it back then. So what happened?
