Parody Written by:

my own slant on the infectious novelty Ringo hit
I was just a Beatle from the docks of Liverpool,
Out looking for a whisky or a one night stand,
When out jumped a teddy boy named Johnny,
And he said, Ringo do you want to join the band,

And I said yeah yeah yeah yeah I will join this band,
Don't want to spend my whole life mopping up the floor,
I want the drums thankyou, please, cause I can play them with ease,
And maybe the EMI will give us a call,

Then Rory Storm came to me and asked me whats the deal?
I smiled but he did not understand,
I told him sorry, nice to meet you but I've got to get me break,
By joining Johnny and his band,

And we sang "yeah yeah yeah yeah" "twist and shout" "love me do"
girls went crazy when we shook our hair,
"please please me", please, "i want to hold your hand",
even got to do dinner with the major,

A chap called Ed, rang up the band said "boys your gonna make it big time he guarenteed,
The audience went mad, every brother and dad, some girls fainted and some they even peed!

We still sang "yeah yeah yeah yeah" "twist and shout" "love me do"
"eight days a week" "help" "from me to you",
that Ringo surely stands out from the band,
I said thankyou but please, forget the other three,
I am the bestest greatest drummer of them all
