Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Phonograph"

Parody Written by:

Alvin Rhodes

all the time you're on my case
you remind me i'm disgraced
by my stereo
cause all i've got in a phonograph
and i realize that it causes laughs
many roar

no way to fake it
its records that i play
some folks can't take it
its so barbarian, they say-ay-ay-ay

i can't give up my antique gear
once my needle broke
i feared that i was through
i shopped for one...the trail grew cold
but i found a guy
who had one stashed away

now you're expectin' me...to give up "old school"
but that's not happenin'
cause i think my systems cool-ool-ool-ool

away from CDs i must steer
i'm a sixties bloke
my high-tech thoughts are few
i've made it clear...i like things old
let the grooves spin by
the good ol' fashioned way

all the time you're on my case
you remind me i'm disgraced
by my stereo
cause all i've got in a phonograph
and i realize that it causes laughs
many roar

all the time you're on my case
you remind me i'm disgraced
by my stereo
cause all i've got in a phonograph
and i realize that it causes laughs
many roar

all the time you're on my case
you remind me i'm disgraced
by my stereo
cause all i've got in a phonograph
and i realize that it causes laughs
many roar

Sir Alvin, I just know that ~J-ONE~ is smiling down, knowing that you are a vinyl-keeper! I have all his 30's, 40's, 50's old 78's in the toy box he made for me! Can't move that one . . . . It's my source for past musical ages.
