The Lyrics

Well here we are at the penultimate day of Election 2020. Who would have thought it would come down to two 70+ year old men. One full of vim and vigor, stumping all over the country, and one full of... something, stumping from his basement?
Oh, when the sun goes down and chances are he’s gonna goof
And your sure he’s not in any shape at all to be gaffe proof
Down in the basement where none can see, yeah
Sleepy Joe in a stupor, that’s where he’ll be

Down in the basement
(Out of our view)
Down in the basement
(Nothing else we can do)
Down in the basement
(Let’s call it a lid)
Down in the basement
(Where they’re keepin’ him hid)
Down in the basement, basement

From the Post you get unhappy news of a new bombshell
Giuliani has the hard drive of “Laptop from Hell”
Back to the basement, let’s wait and see, yeah
If it all blows over in a day or three

Down in the basement
(Oh! That rotten kid)
Down in the basement
(Callin’ another lid)
Down in the basement
(Lost the wrong damn son)
Down in the basement
(Hunter, what have you done)
Down in the basement, basement

Still in the basement, November 3, yeah
My only hope is more morons will vote for me

Down in the basement
(Sniffin’ under age hair)
Down in the basement
(Good days getting rare)
Down in the basement
(Jill catches the flack)
Down in the basement
(All I do is yak)
Down in the basement, basement
(C’mon, Man!)
As a side note, I finally made it to 100 songs.

Tracks the original song nicely. Not particularly funny, but almost none of the current political offerings from either side really are. Don't get the message: it's hard for me to think anybody with the cleverness to rhyme cat with hat can fall for this laptop canard. Nor do I get going after Biden's mental acuity when the alternative is so conspicuously deficient. The song's strong technically tho, and voted accordingly.

Congrats on hitting 100! :) here's to 4 more years of the youthful 70+ year old and Joey, you can stay in your basement for those 4... 5s!

I'd rather be in Biden's basement than in Trump's bunker. For one thing, it smells better.

Will there be basement jokes four years, or do they stop in four days, that is the question.

I already have the “Biden didn’t kill him self” songs already written.

"Under the Floorboards" might have worked as well. You should consider using it at your next song parody singing gig
