Parody Song Title:

"George Bush Will Lead Us Into More Fights"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Hope I'm wrong on this...a lot depends on how much more crap the American Public will believe from this guy before calling him to heel...
[Instrumental intro]

George Bush, will lead us into more fights
More Wars
and diminished Rights
He seems - foolish and not too bright
Uptight
worsening; all of our plights

He's a rich man's son
from the White Upper-Class
Said he was "Re-born"
to cover-up his past
His Father was a pilot
in the last World War
But on his tour
George Bush stayed on the floor

When his Squadron got called up
he played it cool
Drunken, he hid
underneath a bar stool

Now he's "Far-Right"
And he sure loves War
But back then
he hid down on the floor
He says,
"Trust me
I will do what is right"
Meanwhile
other folks die

He said
"This will be a short fight
Cost; Slight
and it will turn out right"

[Instrumental break]

It occurred
that at first
that might turn out
to be
But soon there was
this insurgency

Though he tried to sell folks
there on democracy
No plans had been made
to protect their safety

Was a folly
to fail to provide
order, now many people have died

George Bush, like Nero
he fiddles and plays
While, Terror, Death and Hate
have consumed the whole place
The whole thing's collapsing
in front of our eyes
But this feckless, stupid bumbler
continues to lie

Makes me uptight
and that's the truth
that these guys
Play it so fast and loose
Instead
they say, "Things are going alright"
What tripe!
I think that sure bites

It seems
Civil War is in sight
Sunni's
against the Shiite's

Still this
spoiled-boy from the "Far-Right"
wants to
extend the fight

'Cause he
wants to bait and incite
Iran
it is next in his sights

[out to fade]

This creep
sends other folks
to die
Meanwhile
He's rescinding our Rights...

Should we get rid of the bum? "Everybody say YEAH!" 'Cause though he really don't wanna hear our views, he hasn't done nothin'! Nothin' right, anyway. As for this parody, I just called to say I love it!

stevie says i don't know if he LOOKS like an idiot, but he sure does sound like one

Thank you MP, carol, Rick C and alvin. For once I really don't have anything to add. WELL...OK...I THINK I might have a few more of this "type" of piece brewing. The upcoming mid-term Elections loom before us and I think it's important to stress how critical it is that those who are disatisfied with the current Administration attempt to de-rail the current Republican Majority status wherever possible. Until they come back to towards the center they are simply extremists dressed-up to pretend they represent their constituents interests. And at this point, sadly, a "Moderate" Republican who does not separate himself/herself at voting time from the Extremists is no "Moderate" in my book...Jeez, just think if I had actually had something to add here...Oh, well ~ ~ ~

555 This ain't nuthin' but the truth, the whole truth....and to have such a blithering idiot leading this great country speaks volumes about our election process, among other things. And while I hate ALL politicians, Stevie Wonder could do no worse running this country than Georgie Boy....Hey....' Hey There Georgie Boy' might be a good idea for you to do another parody

Never thought of promoting Stevie Wonder for Prez...actually, I think it would be a wonderful idea. Thanks, Dee...

Another TTTBF (too true to be funny)... Never much cared for OS, but you've reworked it very well and spot on target. Uptight, outasight, Five all night.

Thanks, TT - Well, in Stevie's defense (not that he needs any, especially from an amateur Parody Writer...lol), he did write this when he was quite young. And it certainly had a lot of energy to it...and, uh...well...let's see...looking into the future I now foresee more parodies of a similar nature in the coming days...it appears my parody muse is really pissed off at George Bush & Co.
Michael Pacholek - April 26, 2006 - Report this comment
Stevie Wonder for President? No one questions his intelligence, and he sees far more than Bush ever will. "When you believe in things that you don't understand..." but we're the ones who suffer.

DKTOS, but well done, 555
Phil Alexander - April 27, 2006 - Report this comment
Holy cow, this is good, Paul. Simple, consise and damning. DKTOS, but it runs as poetry.
Paul Robinson - April 27, 2006 - Report this comment
MP - Yeah, he could hire Bush on as a "Staff Member"...then the blind would be leading the dumb...sorry to anyone I offended with that...Larry H - thanks!~ Phil - Thank you, much, Sir...unlike my comments, I try to do that with my parodies(well, "concise", anyway..."damning" is something I only try to do when appropriate - lol)...having the boundaries set by the OS foundation actually helps quite a bit...
