The Lyrics

On December 2, 2002, I submitted my first song parody to AmIRight.com. Ten years later, I very much enjoy the friends I’ve made on this site; and, although I don’t visit quite as often, I still find Chucky G’s sandbox to be one of the most compelling web sites on the internet.
Once upon a time there was a jester
Whom crowds adored when he took center stage.
Animals would sometimes end up hungry
Because that funny guy got in their cage.

Bozo eats hay with friends,
His appetite extends
From bamboo shoots to seeds they feed blue jays.
He dines with kangaroos,
He comes when Bessie moos
To clover fields, their favorite place to graze.

(Chorus)
Munch munch munch munch munch munch
Munch munch munch munch munch munch
Munch munch munch munch munch munch munch munch munch

If you get a seat at Bozo’s circus,
He’ll make you laugh until your face turns green.
If you purchase popcorn, he’ll laugh with you,
But don’t have hot dogs or he’ll cause a scene.

Bozo’s dismayed when friends
Eat meat ‘cause that offends
Him more than au-diences that don’t laugh.
If meat is what you choose,
The friendship you will lose
Of Bozo and – his roommate, the giraffe.

(Chorus)

New friends should quickly take advantage
Of their first chance to dine at his abode.
Sometimes he’ll serve veggies from the grocer,
And sometimes he’ll serve food that’s just been mowed.

Bozo serves hay to friends,
To all guests he extends
Fine silverware, but they get no steak knife.
He reads, then eats, menus,
He doesn’t want to lose
Veg-inity, his cherished way of life.

(Chorus)

He explored some unfamiliar pastures
Seeking grass that had the finest taste.
Soldier Field used the best fertilizer,
So that is where he’s chosen to be based.

Bozo now plays tight end
For the Bears, who don’t spend
Big bucks, but still he thinks it’s a good deal.
They play and seldom lose
And Bozo gladly chews
The Soldier turf – his favorite pre-game meal!

(Chorus)

Unique and interesting...is this about Bozo the clown, or fictional?

Thank you, AFW. A completely fictional tale (which I rarely do) about Bozo the circus clown.

555! Nice job! You should do parodies like this more often! LOL at "Veg-inity". And congrats on lasting ten years here! Hope you stay another ten or more!

Nicely done. Whatever happened to Mary Hopkin? I always liked that OS.

Very good parody. I always liked the OS too. Like you, I don't visit here as often as I used to but, you are right, it is an interesting site to visit. Maybe I should visit more often. 555

Great story! I love the odd stuff like this. Hope to see more of them. And like JohnB, I felt the ending was perfect.

Love the 'food that's just been mowed' line.
