For the past couple of days, I've had a deficiency of ideas, so I decided to write another parody to get my brain juices flowing, and also to add a little spice to the batch of parodies that get submitted here every day, as I've always done. This time, I decided to write another tribute to my home state of Rhode Island (nicknamed the "Ocean State", as the song title says). Enjoy.

Cultural Notes:
1- A river that flows through Massachusetts & Rhode Island, whose mouth is at the Pawtucket Falls.
2- Different names for quahogs, a type of clam native to Rhode Island.
3-Largest island in the Narraganset Bay. Actually, quahogs come from all over the Rhode Island coast, but I put this in because it rhymed nicely.
4-Grinder is another name for a submarine sandwich; coffee milk is coffee-flavored milk, NOT milk with your coffee (even ask ChuckyG about it); and clam cakes are fried balls of dough with bits of clam mixed in.
