The Lyrics

Wow. I never thought I'd get this far. 48 parodies counting this one, a tribute series, and a SOTM entry. Thanks everyone, and here's a song celebrating my parodies.
Spoofing can be awesome, so I started writing spoofs
Wrote "The DDR Nerd" during May, and you 5'd it
Can this be illusion, or did Alvin comment me?
Can't you see pizza's cool, OH! and 'sploding balloon

The P-Pals gathered all around us
My nightmares vandalized just by them
These dice forever will be rolling
Now sing "Great Spaghetti Chef!"

Blaze said no! None would ever go
Get some 5s! Everybody knows!
Now I have set my views on fire!
These are the DJ's satires!

I wrote songs for Airfarce, B.A.Dave, and Sentai man
Yu-Gi-Oh! was alright, cause it got me straight 5s
Eat at Outback Steakhouse, then we'll play some DDR
After raiding the fridge, we shall watch some YouTube

The P-Pals gathered all around us
My nightmares vandalized just by them
These dice forever will be rolling
Now sing "Great Spaghetti Chef!"

Blaze said no! None would ever go
Get some 5s! Everybody knows!
Now I have set my views on fire!
These are the DJ's satires!

I spoofed Yellow Submarine as "Awesome Herman Li"
Never thought that anything went wrong
'Tallica are awesome, as I said in one of my spoofs, not too long!
(Alessio Garavello-style yell)

(Overwhelming guitar solo)

The straight 5s gathered all around us
The comments start to pur like hotcakes
I can't believe I've gotten this far
With these mediocre spoofs!

Blaze said no! None would ever go
Get some 5s! Everybody knows!
Now I have saw my views on fire!
These are the DJ's satires!

I said no! Man, this goes to show
I succeed! Everyone should know
Now I have set my views on fire!
These are the DJ's satires!!!
Thanks to everyone who commented/voted my parodies. And wish me luck in SOTM!

I don't know TOS, but I'm sure you did a good job. Congrats on a body of funny and skillful work. ;D

Thanks, Old Man Ribber! I figured no one would know the OS... should've put a link to the YouTube vid at the beginning! And here's hoping that my next parodies will be just as good as the rest.

I echo all comments above! However, I did listen to the OS just now. I enjoyed most of your parodies, especially those misheard lyrics parodies. I have some parodies in the works as well. Also, good luck in the SOTM!

Thanks, Christie! I can't wait to bomb some Dodongos! Oops, I meant I can't wait to check out your new parodies. (Sorry, got YTP on the brain.)

Being guilty of a couple of self-tributes myself (but also tributing about 18 other writers that same week), can't fault you, and wish you good luck in the contest. Biggest hurdle 'twixt us is a generation (or two) gap: Being a Baby Boomer, if you know the term, my faves are the Golden Oldies from the birth and growth of Rock'nRoll, the late 50s to early 70s, and I sort of fell off the musical planet some time in the 70s. So even if OS lyrics are provided, parodies of later songs don't usually resonate too well for moi, esp. since I strongly dislike most alleged "music" of the past few decades. Just an old curmudgeon, I guess, but thought I'd explain why I haven't read more of yours. Thanks for the v/c today, and I'll spot you some Fives and a tip: Amongst the Tribal Elders here, choruses should be varied, even if the OS doesn't. Think of it as a larger chance to show off your creativity and wit, and to give the readers 3x as many laughs. GL!

DJ - You have a gift for satire and at such a young age. Your vocabulary must be head and shoulders above your peers. With me it is the same as TT has stated - I'm also a "Baby Boomer" and tend to stick with the older music. I'm just happy that there are enough of us boomers on the site to keep the old stuff alive, but the site also needs the fresh new approach that your generation brings to it. I consider you to be "on peer" with the mainstream writers on this site. Keep on writing as long as it brings you joy. High 5's for this tribute.

Thanks to Tommy Turtle and Guy DiRito! I do agree that I use mainly modern music, although you pretty much have to look overseas to find good modern music. I'll try to vary choruses more.

Congrats on getting this far. I dktos, but I enjoyed the parody anyway. It was more of a mystical voyage, if you will, of the past half of a year or so. You've gotten better, 5s.

Thanks, Silver! And I'm happy to see that there are those who are still checking out my older parodies. Figured you wouldn't KTOS, knowing from your tastes, it's probably not your cup of tea.
