Parody Song Title:

"Mock Star"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

I’m through with listening to songs
Without mocking lyrics
Although people think I’m weird
If I say, “A Parodist”
When they ask, “What’s your hobby?”
I’m blasting all my Weird Al CDs

(Amish Paradise)

Then I’ll slay Modest Mouse
Yeah, “Gloat On”, I’ll call it
Need a notebook I can jot jokes down in
And a new laptop with Rhyme Zone
So I can write easy

(I Love Rocky Road)

I’ll find some Internet in a Wi-Fi Starbucks
And some MP3s, but a Youtube’s deluxe
Gonna join the Amiright club
If I write just 10 parodies

(Grapefruit Diet)

And then I’ll sing my songs in karaoke bars
All the drunks are shocked and they’re caught off guard
Some parody of Cher or James Dean fills them with glee

(Next is “Dare To Be Stupid”)

I’m going to leave my job for laughter and fans
And then all I’ll need is my own two hands

Cause we all just wanna be big Mock Stars
Live in one-room houses or out of our car
Since it’s time-consuming we will lose much sleep
And we all are giggly, keeping puns in heaps
When people think we’ve arrived from Mars
Or spent too much time at the local bars
When we all get hyper
You should watch out dear
Cause we are extra funny
Like we’re drunk on beer

And well…
Hey! Hey! I wanna be a Mock Star!

Hey! Hey!
I wanna be a Mock Star!!!

I want to make fun of Elvis and his “Heartbreak Hotel”
So I’ll think real hard till I wrote, “Heartburn Oh, Well”
I’ll get my name on the map
Like Weird Al, and that Cledus T.

(It’s Christmas At Ground Zero, haha)

I’m not going to make much cash
Guess there goes my mansion
Cause I get paid in just laughs spoofing Marilyn Manson
Going to mock his song “Dope Show”
About a cowboy who likes to get whip and beat

(Canadian Idiot)

I’m going to live my life mocking Beatles and Stones
I’ll even sing my stuff and make videos

Cause we all just wanna be big Mock Stars!
We all don’t have spouses, cause we’re great big nerds
Our jokes are sleazy about boobs and teats
Or we might be sneaky singing, “She Loves Meat”
“Pull our cocks out” we’ll play games with words
Because normal lyrics are just for the birds
If we can make you snicker
While reading our tunes
We don’t need much money
To act like buffoons

And we’ll make fun of those awful n00bs
Who think they’re really witty when they joke of poop
And they’ll make a recording to get our stupid smiles
Because inside we’re immature and we’re really vile, well…

Hey! Hey! I want to be a Mock Star!

I’m going to kill the songs
That made it to the Billboard
Maybe write a tribute about “Happy Gilmore”

I’ll smack the big-hit rappers with my goofy songs
Cause Snoop Dogg really bites, I’ll make his lyrics wrong

Cause we all want to be big Mock Stars!
No, we will not mock Strauss cause his music’s old
When the jokes come easy, then the laughs come cheap
And we’re all so giddy that we act like creeps
We’re the kind of folks who aren’t icy cold
Though every song we write ain’t comic gold
When we pick on knickers
(Yes, that’s underwear)
It’s not smart or cunning
But we just don’t care

And we’ll sprawl out in our living rooms
Blasting “Couch Potato” and hope something blooms
I took on “Sexyback” it was not worthwhile
I couldn’t last a minute before tasting bile

Hey! Hey! I want to be a Mock Star!

Yeah! Hey! I want to be a Mock Star!!!!

Excellent! :-) I think everyone on this site can appreciate this one. Especially loved the "AmIRight Club", "Heartburn, Oh Well", "Normal Lyrics", and explaining "Knickers". :-) Only thing I can disagree with is, I'm not vile (that's my story and I'm stickin' to it). Kudos Matthias!

Hmm, overall I liked it, but you and the anti poop thing can get tiresome. . .and we were all newbies once--but other than that little section I liked.
Matthias - July 19, 2008 - Report this comment
That was only one section of a very long song, so don't complain too much. I'm glad that you overall liked it, and since that part of the parody I was thinking about "Wind Beneath My Butt" I guess I'll allow you to leave a comment about that if you must.

It was enjoyable, even with the tirade and all. "Can't we all just mock a song?" "N00bs are people too, just not as wise." Only thing that stuck out to me as strange after a fashion is that the background music you chose between verse/chorus didn't match the lyric that came before it (in my opinion).
Matthias - July 19, 2008 - Report this comment
The original song does that, but that doesn't mean a parody of this song needs to have the same thing with the background speaker. I probably should have done something with Weird Al's song to match the previous lyrics because that would be kinda neat, but I didn't think of that ahead of time.
