This one goes out to all the firt time writers. Don't worry if some people don't like your parodies - you can't please everybody! Just give it time and KEEP WRITING!!!...
These songs are my own
Threw some lines together
The combination kicked some ass
It's what I am
It's fresh and new
And now it's there for you all to view
I tried to get it some attention
But I failed so miserably
I need some help with my creation
But nobody's listening
Tryin' to write a classic
But it's turning tragic
And they'll know, and they'll know, and they'll know
Website full of haters
Hate my rhymes? See ya later!
These songs are my own
Now my heart's grown
I love them, I love them, I love them, I love them
I'll never change them
Re-arrange them
I love them, I love them
Guy DiRito and Johnny D,
Are both top writers, then there's me
Is there something that I missed?
I'm at the bottom of your list
I've tried to work my way right up, but
But I couldn't find that missing hook
Now they're gonna raise that line right up
Will anything I write ever be good enough?
These songs aren't bad songs
They need work done
I ask you, I ask you, I ask you, I ask you
If there's a right way
Can you please say
I'll thank you, I'll thank you
These songs are not done
Best when they're sung
I sing 'em, i sing 'em, i sing 'em, i sing 'em
May I just explain
They're here to stay
Forever, forever
I'll get on this page
Other writers in my way
No lame excuse for what I write
My clever rhymes expose it
Trying to be a writer
The gap's getting tighter
Website full of others
Well guess what? I'm another...
These songs are home-grown
This mind's my own
I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it
There's no better way
Or words to say
I love them, I love them
These songs are good ones
I'm on top form
I'll write them and write them and write them and write them
Makes me glad to say
That there's no way
You'll hate them, you'll hate them
These songs are my own
They're my own art
I wrote them, I wrote them
Just read them and you'll say
That they're better than okay
The songs are all here to stay
I love them, is that okay?

DKTOS again, so no vote. I see you have taken some of my advise to heart. I can understand your music collection from 97+, as most of what I really like and have was when I was your age ( roughly ). I find though that picking songs that are "easy" to parody can sometimes be too easy. I have about 4 on the drawing board right now, one that may take well over 100 real life hours to make ( yeah, it's THAT hard ). Also, there is alot out there pre-97 that is great music to listen to. I will go out on a limb here and say there are hot spots in music chronology ( 1964-1971, 1984-1997 ). Of course, there are several exceptions to this ( especially in the 70's ), like Gordon Lightfoot, Aerosmith, Queen, Kiss, Fleetwood Mac, etc. PS- I have about 100 or so CD's and I would guess the average age of those would be about 1993 ( as far back as 1964, as new as 2004 ). Anwyay, keep em coming, you may not have noticed your parody HTTP end- 0.shtml, which says to me that this is the first submission of a song and a band here ( atleast of that decade and providing you give credit to the right artist/spell their name correctly ), so even if you songs get few votes, you are breaking new ground here ( I have probably 20 or so that are first submissions of a song, and atleast 1 that is a first submission of and entire band/CD ). If you are content with what you are doing, then keep it up, but you probably will have to try some classics that are well known to get more than 6 votes ( and even then it's not a guarantee, but alot more likely ). :)
Absolutely terrbille yatter..........moan.......complain.........insult............crap 111 for u
Thank you, Josh. Nice to see people giving genuine honest votes!
ill give u 5's
Nice sentiment, DAK....keep writing, and you'll get noticed. Enter the competitions and keep working on your craft; once you've made an impact with one really well written song, it gets easier. I liked this alot. 555
Thank you Mikey and Kristof. Your comments are truly inspiring! (And your votes helped get my overall mark back up!)
I thought I've voted for this one yesterday, but I didn't post any comments, and I've forgot how much I vote for you. But I can said the parody is good, but start from the second chorus, it looks a bit boring.
Well Andrew, thank you for your honesty. You're probably the most honest person on this website, and I really appreciate it (more than people who just say 'it's crap' and give it 111)
This song ruls! how can you have a text like this:(
Thank you, Sandra. text? this? wha?
