Song Parodies -> God Bless the NFL
| Original Song Title: | "God Bless the USA" |
| Original Performer: | Lee Greenwood |
| Parody Song Title: | "God Bless the NFL" |
| Parody Written by: | Freddie C. |
As you may have noticed, I've written parodies for about 75% of the NFL, and I just had to throw this one in. If you don't think that pro football is the greatest game in America...maybe this will change your mind.
If tomorrow was the Super Bowl, I'd want to watch it then
And I'd have a hard time to decide just who I'd want to win
Cause pro football truly is the greatest game of all
And the players make it happen, every season in the fall
And I'm proud to follow the NFL, where at least the games are free
And I won't forget the men who came and played the games for me
And I'll proudly stand up next to you, who have done it very well
Cause there ain't no doubt I love this league, God bless the NFL!
From the big dome in Atlanta to the tundra in Green Bay
Across the field in Dallas, to the San Francisco Bay
From Detroit down to Houston, and Chicago to New York
It's where the toughest athletes in the world go to work
And I'm proud to follow the NFL, where at least tailgating's free
And I won't forget my friends who came and made it fun for me
And I'll proudly stand up next to you, who have done it very well
Cause there ain't no doubt I love this league, God bless the NFL!
And I'm proud to follow the NFL, where at least the games are free
And I won't forget the men who came and played the games for me
And I'll proudly stand up next to you, who have done it very well

This was soooo awasome. Funny Funny! I loved it.
I will read any parody to "God Bless the USA". Good one.
Truly, the NFL brand of football is deserving of this musical parody, based on Lee's song. I still think the NFL is quite a league in it's own right, and this song should be recorded for posterity!
