I wonder why the BCS
Would ever kill the common sense that did remain
In the sport without a playoff all alone.
They all claimed it would work, but they were wrong!

Back in 2003 we saw
How good USC fell victim to the flaws
Of this, the system that was once supposed to save
The game's own champion from the grave!

Soon was math out of control
Even for all the geeks out there,
Who had made up the formulas that they must destroy
Immediately or else face their hell;

So why, through all revisions, did we still hear complaints now
From Boise State and Hawaii and the teams innumerable?
Oh! the BCS made up these lies we've all believed to this day!

Five years later, little change
To the system that is messing with the game!
We just want a playoff each and every year
To stop the stream of all our tears!

You drew the teeth from USC
And left out Auburn gleefully!
Then Berkeley never ever went;
To San Diego they were sent!
The Wolverines were soon left out;
In Pasadena they did pout!
