Names -> Cool Band Names -> I, Page 3

Whenever I hear a cool phrase somewhere, I like to exclaim "That would make a cool band name". This page is a list of such names.

I can not verify whether these names have been taken yet or not. If your band happens to already use one of these names sorry. If you want to use a name you see here, you'll need to verify it's not already in use.

Inner City Express We used it back in the mid-70's because we though ICE was pretty cool!!! Vern Chandler
Inner Transition I was trying to decide what to call my band, when I eventually create one, and I was reading the periodic table for inspiration. Somehow the inner transition metals just struck me as cool. Could be a sort of new age band maybe. subject to change
Innocence Forgotten This would be a cool band name for a girl group who isn't quite as angelic as they seem. cassi

The Innocent Criminals Usually, criminals are not too innocent, so I came up with it as sort of an oxymoron.  tbuck61391
The Innocent Criminals That name, submitted by tbuck61391 is already used (and has been) by Ben Harper's band.  Oliver Clothesoff
Innocent Kisses I can only hope this one isnt taken yet. Its cool because the name can literally tell a story. I might use this one... oh well I dunno AmyHuang
Innocent Monkeys The cover of their debut album would show the three band members in "hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil" poses. Princess Ana

Innocent Tongues I saw this in a poem by Wilfred Owen, who was a poet in WWI. I thought it was funny because there is so much bad mouthing in music these days. josh manning
Innuendo My favorite Queen album and my favorite album overall. It is a very cool word. Lash Ferguson
inphection get used to it. teh annoying spelling will drill its plain peachiness into your mind for days, pitiful mortals. -=(utopian)=- spell it with your lousy 'f' if you must, child. tempest
Inquisitive Investigators Aren't all investigators inquisitive? THis is a great name for the ex- police investigators who want to start a band! Pigertaws
Insane Cardigan Posse Well, the story to this one is, I always come up with really strange things the second they pop in my head. Plus I have a friend who loves 60's-70's music, and he's a Juggalo, so I came up with the perfect band for him. A mixture of The Cardigans, and Insane Clown Posse.  Rob
Insane Cheesecake I went to a party, and they had chese cake. While walking around, i heard somebody say: Wow, this is insane cheesecake. Voila.  qweww

Insane V.S Sane I just like the sound of it. I think of myself as insane and sane.  amanda day
Insania well at first i came up with 'lnsaniac' basically maniac and insane together, but when i googled it, it was already in use by some douchbag band... so then i heard aboutthe word 'insania' from the urban dictonary , and thought it was a cool and awesome name for a band with a viviciouse woman singer.. Pamela
Insanity Its cool because it relates to how some people in the world do not know what to do in life and how life is pretty insane if you think about it. Thats the same reason why I came up with it too!  Shanella erickson
Insanity's Children I was thinking about insanity and how it's a very strange way of looking at life. I use Insanity's_Child for a lot of my screen names and the same name for a lot of my Clans. So yeah, I reckon it's cool. Cameron

insomniac I was listening to Green Day's "Insomniac", And I thought it would be an awesome band name. :) metal head
Insomniac's Dream Taken from the title of an album by Adema. I like it and think it's cool because it's an oxymoron. You dream when you sleep, and insomnia is not sleeping. You can't dream when you can't sleep now can you? I guess insomniacs dream (imagine) they are sleeping. Anyway I like band names that are ironic or oxymorons and this should be the name of a band somewhere! Edward
Inspector Clouseau And The Pink Panthers For all you Pink Panther fans out there who want to form a band, this name is for you! Alan the Ottoman

Instant Insanity well i was gonna call my band this (but didnt) because my brother called me and instant punk and then said just add water. i thought it would be so cool as insanity.then we came across something on the internet of a comedical group or something being called instant insanity and they said just add water. so now we are lookin for another name. sadness. Amanda
Instant Skin When my sister and I were younger, we wanted to be in a band. We started making up names. This was our favorite. The first album would, of course, be "Just Add Water". Tattyfatty

Internal Essence This name was cool because one of our members was wearing Herbal Essence (Shampoo) in her hair. We liked the fragrance in her hair, so we took the name.  Marcus roberson
International Why I think this is cool is because, say, you could be American and your drummer could be British and your singer could be Italian, for example.  Peyton

Interspirit I think it´s a cool name for a Christian band because this word tries to say there is a relationship between God an us in spirit. And it sounds cool. Luis Barbosa
Intestinal Difficulties Sounds like 'technical difficulties', doesn't it? Well, it's another term for a certain type of digestive problem, namely diarrhea. First single could be titled 'We Are Experiencing'... IHaveNoBrain
Into The Fog I think this name is cool because when i listen to my older brothers band it makes me think of my band and our song that talks about a girl that goes in to the fog and never came out. I think it would be a good band name for a sad depressing band that has there heart broken. J.P
Into the Mist  Cpt. Neeb
Into the Outrage A band for anyone who actually likes to watch Fox News. RevengeFromMars YouTube
Intoxicated Butterfly We did this stupid butterfly project back in 6th grade, and I had a friend who was researching this butterfly. The butterfly would go eat rotting fruit, and then become intoxicated. We realized how much of a cool band name that'd be! Brandi

The Involuntary Luge According to Jerry Seinfeld in his stand-up routine, the luge is the only sporting event where you can have people competing in it against their will and it would be exactly the same. He then goes on to say he wants to see the involuntary luge in the next Olympics. Brian Kelly
Ionic Bond doesn't it sound spiffy and sophisticated? i came up with it in Bio class...use it freely. bernie

Irrational Disposition The reason why this band name would kick seriously large ammounts of (butt) is the fact that it sounds really intelligent because of the word usage. Boo-ya!  YousoCrazy

Istic A common suffix for adjectives, such as "realistic" and "futuristic." It would work for an avant-garde digital music composer, and even better if said composer is European or Japanese. Olvan The Terrible
