These are INTENTIONAL messages that groups have recorded and placed in their songs. This differs from backwards masking in which bands supposedly sing a song in a special way so that when played backwards a hidden message appears.

A track on their remix album “LOVE”. It is the backwards a capella version of “Sun King”. It doesn’t really contain the foreign language parts backwards though.

There is some unintelligible whispering that starts around one minute into the song. Reverse it and you get the following message: "Work hard. Stay in school. Listen to your mother. Your father is right."

Hotel California has a satanic message: Forwards lyric: ...in the middle of the night, just to hear them say... Backwards lyric: Yeah, Satan hears this, he had me believe in him.

"Like Spinning Plates," Radiohead
Radiohead originally made this song by reversing a demo version of another song, "I Will", which they later recorded for their next album (Hail to the Thief, 2003) in a different arrangement. If you play "Like Spinning Plates" backwards, you can hear similarities to "I Will" in the chord progression and Thom Yorke's vocal melody.

At the end of the song, a strange message appears. Reverse it, and you get a weirdly sexual message.

If you put :Music Sounds Better With U" in reverse, it says "I'm not asking".

The "da ba dee da ba daa" melody when played reversed sounds like "Hide the body, eat the body".

When reversed, one part of the song sounds similar to "Yes, an alien must know," which is followed by "Ah, I'm sure you'd believe that;" almost a subliminal jab at conspiracy theorists who believed in backwards masking.

When the song is played backwards, you can hear Chester screaming "You should brush your teeth and you should wash your hands!" Hence the song's title, which is "Public Service Announcement" with the words in reverse order.

"Groovy Tuesday," Smithereens
While recording the lyrics for the song "Groovy Tuesday" singer Pat Dinizio sang "design in blue" and everyone in the studio erupted in laughter. This little snippet was isolated and inserted at the song's end backwards. Producer Don Dixon did it as a joke and the band liked it.
