Story about this misheard lyric by: Blue Badger Being from Southeastern, NC, I laughed my a** off going to half a dozen lyrics sites and seeing those awful lines duplicated on each site. Someone, obviously not from around those parts, really tore those names up. Did they even think to check a map of nc to see if towns by the misheard names even existed? No. I mean, 'Bourgon' and 'Warrenshell', c'mon... They couldn't even be bothered to check on the spelling of Halifax. How did 'Pasqoutank' turn into 'Pass the table' ?? |
