Dated Lyrics:
"Make Love To Me"
The Dated Lyrics: Come a little closer, make love to me
Why They're Dated: It was in the 1990s that I first remember hearing this song from the 1950s. Although songs referring to 'making love', as the phrase is currently understood, were right at home in the 1990s or any time since then, I was thinging, 'Whoa! I'm shocked to find a song form the 1950s with such 'explicit' lyrics. They just didn't talk about such things back then!'. Then somebody explained to me that the meaning of 'make love' has changed, and in the 1950s it by no means referred to 'going all the way'.
