Song originally written in the 1940's in California, during a long hot summer, when people were dreaming of Christmases long ago in colder places far, far away. I'm starting to see a few Teslas running around Kansas City, and passing me on the highway. But as I contemplate their deficiencies, I don't think I'll be buying one soon.
Tesla bursts into a ball of fire
Firemen rolling out their hose
Fuel-less wonder smells just like burning tires
Last winter, charging stations froze
Every owner knows
The money saved not buying gas
Won't help when battery is due
Cost replacement, put it back on the road
Is more than petrol car when new
They say the future's on its way
We'll all take a ride in Elon's magic sleigh
And if you want to go, no matter where
The range will only get you halfway there
And so, I'm offering this sage advice
To auto shoppers used and new
Although people say you'll be saving the Earth
It's a ripoff for you
