The Lyrics

I first wrote this in 1988, back in the day when there was no Internet providing easy access to lyrics. Then I subm, iited this to amiright in 2004, and for no particular reason disabled comments. Now, here is this piece revamped for the ongoing Artistry contest--all shiny and new, and Comments are encouraged!
The Loony Tuneys are on today
Those animated dudes are here to stay
But I never understand just how he's so fast
How this hare fool kicks bad guys in their ass
He's so cool; he's so hip, he's so right
He rarely ever gets into a fight
Now Sam and The Taz, he got them all beat
And screw Mickey Mouse 'cause he's really much too sweet (say)
Elmer Fudd wants to hunt a wabbit (ehh, ehh, ehhh)

Hasenpfeffer next dish on the board
But the Wabbit don't want his butt to be gored
He'll set off a bomb, even dress like a girl
To save himself; not talking 'bout a squirrel
Elmer Fudd wants to hunt a wabbit
But he stands there munching a carrot (ehh, ehh, ehhh)

A liar, a cheat, master of disguises
This Lepus is left to his own devices
Just give him a stick or two of TNT
And you'll see the bunny go set himself free!
Elmer Fudd wants to hunt a wabbit
But he stands there munching a carrot
What's up, Doc? (Say what!?)
What's up, Doc? (Say what!?)
What's up, Doc? (Say what!?)
Say what?

(guitar solo)

WHAT''S UP DOC?! (Say what?!)
What's up, Doc? (Say what?!)
What's up, Doc? (Say what?)

Elmer Fudd wants to hunt a wabbit
Bugs says his phrase, you cant' forget it!

Say what? (What's up, Doc?) Say what? (What's up, Doc?) Say what?
(What's up, Doc?) eh, eh, ehh

Copyright 1988, 2013, Agrimorfee. NOTE: Wait to hear the end of the song, and listen how the piano melody resembles the "That's all folks!" music from Warner Brothers cartoons. Coincidence?

I wonder if Patton purposely tried to sound like Bugs Bunny during this song. From the man who created Mr. Bungle crazier things have happened.

What's epic, Doc? How about this one? Thanks for giving Elmer his due. When I run out of improv ideas on gigs and karaoke sessions, I can always wesort to one of my cwassic Fudd woutines (Chantiwwy Wace, White Wabbit, A Woom Full Of Woses, etc). Good luck in your competition. (I swear! The Security Code is WYK...and Elmer would WYK this one awot.) ;D
