Song Parodies -> Pat Adagio's Cream
| Original Song Title: | "The Impossible Dream" |
| Original Performer: | Man of La Mancha / Richard Kiley |
| Parody Song Title: | "Pat Adagio's Cream" |
| Parody Written by: | Tommy Turtle |
Eyes gleam at Adagio's scream
Bizarre, so far, all of us are
With sheep, we are constantly (bleep)ing
We vit-iate love; morals, mar
To lie that the party was fly
To clean the obscenely unclean
To try, 'spite of techie confusion
To buy a computing machine
Pat is the best
She's AmIRight's star
But hopelessly clumsy
Bears accident's scar
When scanning her songs
Reader never is bored
Though she smashes antiques, falls down stairs, and trips over a cord
Yet, I know
That regardless of hurt
She will rise from her pain
To cook up
Yummy dish of fried dirt
With dessert of fried brain
And this site
Is much better for this
That one Muse
Seems to stream schemes that steam
I deem the regime of this team hers;
Esteem her extremely supreme!

Somehow you seemed to make sense out of my nonsensical musings. Tooting my own horn, I guess, I like the way you picked just the right words from various parodies and made one of your own...a good one. Thanks, Turtle-dove.
Listened to the midi, but got lost in middle(the other song I didn't). Still, it looks very good.
a fine tribute to our mysterious adagio
Very nice tribute...excellently crafted
Adagio, thanks, glad you liked it. Stephen, alvin, AFW, thanks.
Sounds like you have Adagio down pat with this parody. 555
Kudos.
Rick C, Agrimorfee, thanks.
Impossibly good, I'm patting this with 555s
what alvin said, and what a nice and clever (and original) tribute with all those links - you are one cool dude Tommy - 555
Larry Hensley, thanks ... Stuart McArthur, thanks; more info on links in 19/4 update; and still trying to get a message to you about our other threads... When are you gonna post a song so that I know you'll see the comment? and, of course, i'll surely LMAO as well :)
been on holidays over Easter, TT - but I saw with fascination that your species hails from Melb'n, Florida, as I hail from Melb'n, Victoria - just to throw another cat amongst the kitchens, we call ourselves "mel-BURN-ians" - the "r" is silent ;-) - and to see that it's not just you that I've (mud-)wrestled pronunciation issues with, see...

As God is MY witness, I will never go hungry again! (munches radish).
SMA, I had seen your previous references to "Hawn/born"; this time I went to your song and left a sarcastic comment there - surely, you expected no less? lol
Probably no one's gonna "prevail" here -- There are numerous dialects of alleged English right here in the good ol' US of A, a number more that would make the Queen shriek in jolly ol' England.... TT Favorite: "Why Can't the English Teach Their Children How To Speak" from "My Fair Lady".... uh-oh, smells like another parody idea: "Why Can't The Aussies etc."... you can do it, or I can, but I'd need a lot more reference material on dialect differences. Suggestions (polite, that is)?
