Wasn't this country great in the first place because of its diversity and multiculturism? If we all did what Kanye did or what GW Bush wants us to do, America would be chastised worse than ever. Americans should continue to do whatever they like. God (or other higher power) should be the only One we they should be held accountable to.

Diversity can be a good thing, but in many cases, it isn't. We could've saved the world a lot of trouble by never having the slave trade. North America and South America would've been much better off if the Europeans had never colonized them. Asia and Africa would have been much better off without colonialism as well. Unfortunately, Europe spent a few centuries raping various cultures for resources, and now, we watch as inevitable cultural conflicts continue among radically different ethnic groups that are forced to live side by side.... Societies tend to function better if their various cultural aspects either assimilate into one culture or if they separate into communities that respect each other's autonomy. The problem with America is that it chooses to do neither. Cultures remain separate, but they hardly respect each other. It's more of a grudging acceptance of each other's differences in the pursuit of making money. Behind closed doors, we still hate people different from ourselves, whether we're black, white, Hispanic, Christian, Muslim, liberal, conservative, or whatever. The only things America is united by are money and its cultures' mutual contempt for each other..... Kanye is just playing upon this hate, because it gains him attention....

It's stupid when people talk about some double standard of racism. What does taht mean if somebody calls you cracker and you call somebody n**** that you get jumped over and they don't. Who is jumping all over you and not them. People make stupid generalities. Who are the people who hate the white racism and not black racism? Who are they? Well, deal with them.

The fact of the matter is, everybody just needs to respect each other. I'm not speaking in generalities, but many albums or records made by black people are about struggle and the hood and what not (obviously not all) so, instead of say white people whining about how black people live, and the other way around, just get over it. The whole problem with racism is when people make other people's things their problems, when they don't have to be. Let people do what they do, respect it, move on. I'm not a big fan of a lot of my black friends who get mad, something happens to them becuase they are black, but that's their opinion and they obviously have some good reason behind so I just don't say anything. So instead of playing this blame game, for instance the news, just say, in the words of a ganster I can't remember, "Forget about it!"

Then talks how black people are treated. Everyone is equal, to hold a standard of white people not being able to say something, and saying you want equality is contridicting itself. What happened in the past is horrible, but that happened before me, or my parents were born. I had nothing to do with slavery, so how long do I have to pay for mistakes I never made? You can't change what happened, only what will happen. I agree we need diversity, we should be proud of where we came from, but as long as we see black and white instead of American, it'll always be black and white. America is a crazy place. Although white people have more economic benefits because of the past, culturally they really don't have anything. Especially in the north. Hip Hop is the premier cultural movement in America, actually the world. Hip Hop is predominantly black. Therefore, black people set the trend for culture in America, and millions of white kids are influenced by black culture. Some black people don't like when white people use slang and I don't think they understand how easily accessible hip hop culture has become. And in places where black people are predominant, such as Chicago or D.C. or many places, I think white people have every right to talk like the black people they are around everyday. I just don't get how both black and white folks can't except a white person who talks black. They can accept a black person who talks white, and this person is not labeled as a fake, rather educated. Did anyone ever think that the white person who talks black is maybe extremely educated too, not in the school sense, but the cultural sense. But this person is unfairly labeled as a fake.
