Ironic only because Kansas was mentioned in Space Junk, a track from Devo's first album Q: Are We Not Men?
BTW, this incident brings back memories of Robert Mapplethorpe's exhibit being banned in Cincinnati, Ohio
Im sure some idiot misinterpreted the lyrics to "Whip it" again....or didnt like the title "Jocko Homo"
OK, I can see keeping some stuff out of the reach of children, such as NC-17-rated movies, but since when does something have to "mesh with the values of a majority or Kansans" (or anyone else) to be included in a public library?
Kansan values? Apparently, Devo albums don't mention corn, wheat, and tornadoes enough to be authentically Kansan.... Perhaps, we should ask Bob Dole what exactly are Kansan values anyway....
