While I do love Snopes, and don't mind linking to them, they clearly don't care to link to the websites they used for "reference" here. They list two books, but I doubt much came from them, since the Gavin Edwards books are quite light in the content department. I'm sure kissthisguy and amiright were also referenced and not credited.
Can you imagine what the hearing impaired already do not hear and how mondegreens effect their hearing problems? Believe me, it is not funny. So far I have only read what people with normal hearing say about mondegreens. I am profoundly hearing impaited and have a whole different view concerning mondegreens. Thank you.
