Elton John, "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road"
Misheard Lyrics:
Oh my, by mid-July
Be on the yellow brick road
Original Lyrics:
Oh, I've finally decided my future lies
Beyond the yellow brick road
There seems to be something about me and mid-July. It is my favorite time of year, and everything sounds like it's referencing the best time of summer. And this song is almost unintelligible to begin with like drunk singing, prompting me to parody "I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues" years ago with "I Guess That's Why They Soak Up The Booze." Also in this song: "You Can't Match Being A Pen Pal." - that's a more common one.
